چکیده

Abstract Context Hyperglucagonaemia may develop in type 2 diabetes due to obesity-prone hepatic steatosis (glucagon resistance). Markers of glucagon resistance (including the glucagon-alanine index) improve following diet-induced weight loss, but partial contribution lowering versus body is unknown. Objective To investigate dependency loss a reduction on markers diabetes. Design and setting A post-hoc analysis from two previously published randomized controlled trials. We investigated effect maintenance (study 1: isocaloric feeding) or 2: hypocaloric feeding), both which induced reductions steatosis, sensitivity, including index measured using validated ELISA metabolomics 94 individuals (n=28 study 1; n=66 2). Participants were 6-week conventional (CD) carbohydrate-reduced high-protein (CRHP) diet within feeding-interventions. Individuals with overweight obesity Results By design, was greater after compared feeding, diets caused similar allowing us impact reducing without clinically relevant resistance. The improved hypocaloric, not isocaloric, independently macronutrient composition. Conclusion Improvements depend patients

Reversal of nonalcoholic hepatic steatosis, hepatic insulin resistance, and hyperglycemia by moderate weight reduction in patients with type 2 diabetes.

To examine the mechanism by which moderate weight reduction improves basal and insulin-stimulated rates of glucose metabolism in patients with type 2 diabetes, we used (1)H magnetic resonance spectroscopy to assess intrahepatic lipid (IHL) and intramyocellular lipid (IMCL) content in conjunction with hyperinsulinemic-euglycemic clamps using [6,6-(2)H(2)]glucose to assess rates of glucose produc...

Background: Obesity increases the risk of developing type 2 diabetes with regard to the hormones involved. The purpose of this quasi-experimental study was to investigate the effect of aerobic exercise on Dpp-4 and GLP-1 in obese women with type 2 diabetes. Methods: From among obese women with type-2 diabetes mellitus 35-50 years old referred to the Diabetes Association of Saveh, 20 people wer...
